KFENFIX wins Morningstar Awards 2026, reinforcing Krungsri Asset's fixed income expertise
20 March 2026
Krungsri Asset Management Co., Ltd. (KSAM) has been honored with a prestigious award at the Morningstar Awards for Investing Excellence 2026. Its Krungsri Enhanced Active Fixed Income Fund (KFENFIX) won the Best Fund award in the Mid/Long Term Bond category, reaffirming the company’s strong capabilities in fixed income fund management and the strength of its investment team.
The awards were organized by Morningstar Research (Thailand), in collaboration with the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) and the Association of Investment Management Companies (AIMC). Mrs. Supaporn Leenabanchong, Managing Director of KSAM, together with Mr. Sira Klongvicha, Chief Investment Officer, Ms. Porntipa Nungnamjai, Chief Fixed Income Investment Officer, and Mr. Theerapab Chirasakyakul, Fixed Income Fund Manager, represented the company in receiving the award at the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
Mrs. Supaporn Leenabanchong stated, “Amid ongoing global economic challenges driven by geopolitical risks, inflation trends, and monetary policy directions across major economies, investors are increasingly focusing on diversification and reducing portfolio volatility. Fixed income assets, which provide steady income streams, remain an attractive option in the current market environment—particularly mid- to long-term bonds, which offer consistent interest income and help enhance portfolio stability during periods of financial market uncertainty.”
“KFENFIX fund focuses on investing in both domestic and international mid- to long-term fixed income instruments, employing an active investment strategy to select high-quality securities and generate appropriate long-term returns. The portfolio is well diversified across various types of fixed income instruments, including government bonds across all maturities, which can benefit from active management amid expectations that central banks globally may gradually reduce policy rates. These instruments also carry low credit risk and enhance the fund’s liquidity.”
“In addition, the fund invests in both domestic and international markets, including high-quality corporate bonds that offer long-term return potential and help mitigate the impact of rising interest rates. Exposure to foreign fixed income also enhances return opportunities and portfolio diversification. The fund has no duration constraints, allowing the fund manager to adjust the portfolio flexibly in response to changing interest rate trends. Furthermore, full currency hedging is implemented to minimize foreign exchange volatility.”
“Another key strength of KFENFIX is its experienced and highly skilled fund management team, with a strong track record in managing mid- to long-term fixed income funds such as Krungsri Active Fixed Income Fund (KFAFIX) and Krungsri Active Fixed Income RMF (KFAFIXRMF). The company has also received numerous awards from leading institutions. For example, KFMTFI and KFMTFI-D have previously won Morningstar Fund Awards (Thailand), while KFSPLUS received the Money & Banking Awards. These achievements have contributed to the company earning consecutive international recognitions, including Best Bond Manager from Asia Asset Management and Fixed Income House of the Year from Fund Selector Asia.” (Source: KSAM as of March 6, 2026 / Past performance is not indicative of future results / The rating is not associated with AIMC rankings.)
