Passbook Related Issues

What are the advantages of having a passbook?

Having a passbook helps you keep track of your payment each month and uses as a record in case there is any discrepancy between your bank account statement and the investment fund balance. It can also report type of transactions, number of investment units, and fund’s net asset value per unit (NAV). The passbook can be updated any time. Exclusively for Krungsri branch customers, with your passbook, it will allow you to subscribe, redeem or switch your unit trusts at any of our branch.

Where can I receive a passbook?
  • If you opened an account for subscription of units at a branch of Bank of Ayudhya Plc, you can request a passbook from any branch of the bank.
  • If you opened an account for subscription of units at Krungsri Asset Management or other selling agents, please bring your ID card to request a passbook at Krungsri Asset Management office.
If I cannot get a passbook by myself, can I give the permission to someone else to do it for me?

No, the account owner is required to show the identification card to verify the ownership of the account and sign on the back of the passbook. Except for juristic person, the permission can be given because the signature at the back is not required.

Do I need to have a saving account at Krungsri branch in order to request a passbook?

No, all you need is to hold units in any of the funds mentioned above.

Once I have a passbook, can I sell, buy, or switch funds at branches other than the branch where I applied for the passbook?
  • If you opened an account for subscription of units at a branch of Bank of Ayudhya Plc, selling or switching funds is permitted in units only and you must bring your passbook to do this.
  • If you opened an account for subscription of units at Krungsri Asset Management or other selling agents, please bring your passbook to make transactions. You may also do transactions through your selling agents and get your passbook updated later.
If I forget to bring my passbook, can I still complete my transaction at any Krungsri branch?

Without a passbook, you can complete the transactions at any branches of Krungsri. Please keep in mind that the Krungsri branches are not able to sell or switch your unit trusts in Baht. If you should decide to complete your selling or switching in Baht, we will require a fax from those branches to complete the order at Krungsri Asset Management. Then you can update your passbook later on.
